Ancient Sweets Making Workshop


In this event, you’ll learn some interesting facts about the sweets of the ancient period. For example, did you know that in the Heian period, fruits were considered as sweets and there was a fried pastry shop in Kyoto? After learning all those mentioned, let’s make sweets by using ancient recipe! Of course, you’ll get to taste it at the end of the session!

Date: Monday October 9th
There are two sessions on the 9th. Each session has 15 seats available. Pre-order is required.
 ①10:00am to noon ②2:00pm to 4:00pm
 Place: Fukuoka City Museum 2nd floor “multipurpose room”

  • This event is not age-restricted, but elementary school kids or younger should be accompanied by an adult.
  • In case of too many applications, we will draw slots for place allocation.

How to apply
You can apply by postcard, fax, phone or e-mail. Write your name, age, address and phone number and number of participants (maximum of 2 persons) . The whole session will be conducted in Japanese. If you need language help, please write your native language and level of English Comprehension on the application form. Sign language interpreter is also available upon request.
The application, in any form, must be received at the museum on or before September 15th 2017.
